Reflexology treatment
I offer reflexology treatments, which can help to alleviate feelings of stress and anxiety, encouraging overall wellbeing.
What is reflexology?
While the easiest way to define reflexology is a foot massage, it’s so much more than that. No matter what your day job may be, it’s likely you’re on your feet for a large part of your day, which puts a lot of stress on your feet. Reflexology treatment can help with this.
In Chinese medicine, qi (pronounced “chee”), otherwise known as “vital energy” is known to flow through our bodies. If we are unwell or stressed, then our qi can become blocked; which can lead to further illness.
The aim of reflexology is to ensure qi keeps flowing through your body, so it’s balanced and disease-free.
In Chinese medicine, different pressure points on the body relate directly to specific body parts; and reflexology focuses on the pressure points of the feet. By applying gentle pressure, energy flows through a person’s body, before reaching the area that needs healing.
What does reflexology feel like?
My clients have most commonly reported feelings of lightness and tingling in the body, feelings of warmth and “moving energy” during the reflexology treatment.
When you come to me for a reflexology session, I’ll start working on your toes, slowly moving down your foot. By working on all of the points on your feet, I can target all areas that correspond to your internal organs, glands, bones, muscle groups, nerves (sciatic) and nerve ganglions (solar plexus and brachial plexus) during a single session.
If you have a specific health condition such as nausea, migraines or sciatica, I will carefully work the area that corresponds to your specific problem. However, I like to work all of the areas because according to reflexology treatment theory, this enables the nerve pathways and congestion to release, which helps you feel more relaxed throughout your body.
It’s important to bear in mind that reflexology isn’t a form of diagnosis. The idea behind it, is that the body will repair itself once the internal stress has been released through reflexology. If your body is extremely stressed, I may refer you to another treatment or medical team; but I will be unable to give you a diagnosis.
Does reflexology work?
Reflexology really does work, the reason being it can help to release any emotions or deep-rooted anxieties, to help your body and mind perform its best.
By promoting the natural healing process of the body, reflexology treatment can help to alleviate many health conditions and problems.

Reflexology treatment and prices
The number of sessions will be dependant on your health needs, and your reasons for seeking reflexology treatment in the first place.
I usually find that my clients see more benefits if they have regular sessions; so would typically recommend a session once a week for six weeks, followed by one treatment every four weeks.
A 40 minute reflexology sessions costs £47. You can find out more information on my prices, or get in touch if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment. Alternatively, you can discover the other therapies I offer.
