Food intolerance testing
Did you know over 45% of the population react adversely to the food they eat? Whilst these intolerances may not be life threatening, it can still have an impact on your quality of life.
Often, people may try to eliminate certain foods from their diet in an attempt to feel better; but this means there is a lot of guess work involved. I offer food intolerance testing that is quick, and will accurately tell you which foods you should be eliminating from your diet; to help improve your wellbeing.
All prices for food intolerance testing and the other therapies I offer can be found here.
Symptoms of food intolerance
If you’re experiencing any of the below symptoms, then I’d recommend you get tested for food intolerance:
- Bloating
- Constipation
- Depression
- Diarrhoea
- Eczema
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Rashes
- Rhinitis
- Sinusitis
- Urticaria
- Weight loss or weight gain
I have had fantastic success and I will continue it as a lifestyle. I don’t want to go back to feeling that awful fullness or the other symptoms…

How to test for food intolerance
I will start off by doing a simple finger prick to obtain your blood sample, which I will send to the lab to be analysed.
Unlike other tests on the market, we measure all four sub-types of food-specific IgG (1-4) compared to some which test only for IgG4. This is important as it ensures all of the different food-specific IgG reactions are detected.
Improve your gut health and immune system
Your gut makes up 70% of your immune system and you can support your gut health by reducing your “immune load”, and removing ingredients from your diet that may be causing it to work harder than it needs to.
You will receive your results back quickly, and these will be returned back in a traffic light system; showing which foods are fine to consume (green), which foods you should limit (amber), and which foods you should avoid (red), as you are intolerant.
With my new increased energy levels I am able to go to the gym more and my weight has come down from 10 stone 2 pounds to 7 stone 11 pounds in 7 months. My depression has totally lifted and my whole attitude to food and life has changed. I am delighted to see my body changing and my new shape.
Cathy McGuire
Most people who are intolerant will be so for 4-8 food groups, with symptoms often occurring up to 72 hours after consuming the food.
Once you’ve had your results returned to you, I’d recommend you book an appointment with a nutritionist, as they can advise you on when to reintroduce food groups back into your diet.
What’s the difference between food intolerance and food allergy?
Whilst the two terms can often be confused, they are in fact, two very different things.
A food allergy is much rarer, with approximately 2% of the adult population affected by one. The body’s immune system mistakes a food as an ‘invader’, with a rapid allergic reaction occurring anywhere between a few minutes and two hours. The most common food allergies are nuts, milk, eggs and seafood.
I feel much better in myself and notice now and strive to maintain this approach of cutting out these foods that cause a reaction… I have just been weighed at the gym as well and have also lost 3% body fat in the last two weeks.
